Storm Damage Roof Replacement
Completed a large-scale roof replacement on a 1965 single-family home on Woodland Road near historic downtown Gaithersburg after a tornado tore through the area. This established neighborhood features mid-century homes on spacious quarter-acre+ lots with mature trees. The storm caused significant roof damage that required a full tear-off down to the deck. We met with the homeowner's insurance adjuster on-site, documented all damage thoroughly with photos and measurements, and worked directly with the insurance company throughout the claim process. The deck inspection revealed sections of sheathing that needed replacement — common after severe wind events that lift shingles and underlayment. We installed a complete new GAF architectural shingle system with full peel-and-stick underlayment at vulnerable areas, proper ice and water shield, new flashing at all penetrations, and ridge ventilation. The homeowner's confidence was restored along with the roof, and the property received insurance-backed full restoration.
